Northampton leads Northeast Regionals

The top three wrestlers in each weight class will move on to next week's state tournament in Hershey. Northampton, the District 11 team champion, has nine semifinalists and moved out to an early lead in the overall standings with 501/2 points. Easton is second with 391/2 points, followed by Nazareth (27), Blue Mountain (25) and Jersey Shore (20).

Brown, a 2007 state silver medalist, finished second to Liberty's Anthony Marino last weekend at districts. But the Emmaus wrestler, a two-time state place-winner, also knows how much a weight class can change from districts to regionals. Marino (30-3) had to injury default to Easton's Joey Rizzolino on Friday, leaving Rizzolino to face Pleasant Valley's Jordan Toledo in one semifinal and Brown to meet Northampton's Jordan Glykas in the other.

Under the Hood With Knight Rider 2.0: Trans Am vs. Ford Mustang ...

It had to be simple yet believable as a superhero." Once his vision was set, Belker turned to Ted Moser from Picture Car Warehouse to make his drawings come to life. But there was one big hurdle: The GT500KR doesn't technically exist quite yet. "So we had to finish their design first," Moser says. "Then we brought in a prop maker to create side skirts and spoilers out of wood, smooth them out, and sent them to a fiberglass shop to make molds. Once the parts are formed from those molds, we finish them and attach them to the car." One of the cooler features of the Mustang KITT is air-ride suspension, which allows its driver to lower the car's ride height when the vehicle morphs from Hero to Attack mode. "When it goes on the offensive, it gets slammed to the ground," Moser chuckles. Very aggressive, indeed.

Dumped child's dad spoke of betrayal

Police were not too concerned at establishing how much force had been used to put him face down with hands and feet bound.

"They were particularly incensed about him abandoning the child," Mr Johnson said. "We didn't ask if he put up a struggle or if they did what was necessary to subdue him."

Mr Bender said the car was found in the car park of an adjacent apartment building. Xue had done nothing to change his appearance apart from opting for a crew cut.

If US authorities decide to declare Xue an undesirable alien, he could be on his way back to New Zealand within a week. Mr Bender said the two arresting officers were shocked when they learnt the full extent of the suspicions surrounding Xue.

"This is a once in a career type of thing for just about any officer," he said.

Expo Keynote - Live Update

Apple delivered more than 5 million copies in the first three months. The most successful release of Mac OS X ever. Almost 20 percent of the installed base is upgraded to Leopard (a nifty wood theme on Keynote pie chart). We get quotes from Walt Mossberg, David Pogue, Ed Baig, (Bet the fourth one is Steven Levy!). Ooh, a surprise: it's actually Ed Mendelson from PC Magazine (that gets a laugh).

9:17 PT: DM - Leopard's been well received by developers. Microsoft is now shipping Office 2008. It's the last big app to go native on Intel. Whoops, first Jobs glitch: he said “Tiger" when he meant “Leopard."

9:18 PT: DM - Jobs talks about Time Machine: You wish you didn't need that wire for connecting your Time Machine drive. And today we've got one— Time Capsule, a backup appliance.
